Treating Adults, Adolescents, and Families
Is this whole therapy thing new to you? Or maybe you've been to therapy before, but you're looking for a change or a therapist who's a better fit. Either way, that's ok! Since you're sitting here reading this, you must be going through a very difficult time, no doubt. Or perhaps, you're watching your teenager or another loved one going through something, and you're trying to figure out how to help. You've probably tried a lot of different things before you decided to explore the possibility of seeing a therapist.
I know looking for a therapist can feel extremely overwhelming and even a little (or a lot!) scary. Not only are you going through a majorly difficult time right now, but you’re about to face some very difficult emotions, and you probably have no idea who to trust.
It’s completely normal to be reluctant about starting this journey, and I understand that each person has a different comfort level when it comes to sharing their feelings and personal experiences. This is why it is so important to me that I take things at your pace. My number one goal, from the moment we make contact, is to make you feel comfortable and at-ease. You may be feeling the urge to reach out, but have no idea what to say once you make that first call or send that first email. And that is ok! You don't have to know what to say. I will help you along every step of the way. This journey is yours, and I will meet you where you're at. On the other hand, you may have a lot to say and really want to get it all out, but maybe you just don't know where to begin or you're afraid once you start talking, you won't make any sense because all of the thoughts in your head feel so jumbled. That's ok, too! You may start anywhere you'd like, and we'll figure it out together.
The good news is that with the right therapy, you can and will be able to find peace and healing. And the time WILL come when you will feel like "you" again.
Relief is a click away. . .
